What is Remedial massage?
Remedial massage is treatment for the relief of pain. It helps many muscular conditions, both chronic, (such as long standing arthritis) and acute (such as sudden back strain). Remedial massage works thoroughly through muscles and associated soft tissue to aid healing after injury, relax muscle fibres which have been strained and are in spasm, or release specific areas of tension which are causing pain. Painful joints are eased by working on the surrounding muscles which feed and support the joint.
Who has remedial massage?
Anyone of any age who has pain or stiffness, an injury, is recovering from surgery, or is suffering from the effects of stress can benefit from massage. People with serious medical conditions benefit from the deep relaxation massage can bring. It is useful for stress related conditions and those where relaxation is essential for recovery.
